The Guam Energy Office is a small line agency within the Executive Branch of the

Government of Guam. Established since 1974 by Guam Legislature to address programs

under the U.S. Federal Energy Administration (later became the U.S. Department of Energy

in 1977), Guam Energy Office continues to exist per latest Executive Orders 83-004 and

2007-14, utilizing federally funded grants from the U.S. Department of Energy. GEO

administers energy programs for the benefit of the generalpublic by promoting energy

efficiency to reduce reliance on imported fuel, reduce greenhouse gas emissions affecting

global climate change, and reduce energy costs and consumption for

consumers, businesses and government.
