Guam Immunization Program’s Mission: The Department of Public Health and Social Services’ Immunization Program has been in existence since 1971. The mission of the Immunization Program is to implement effective prevention and control activities for vaccine preventable diseases (VPDs) on Guam and to reduce the morbidity and mortality of VPDs as well as reduce the economic and social impact on Guam.




Guam Immunization Program’s Goal: Program’s Goal: To prevent and control transmission of vaccine-preventable diseases (VPDs) with particular emphasis on accelerating interventions to improve the immunization coverage of children less than 2 years old, adolescents, and high-risk adults.
